JoAnn Lauterbach

JoAnn began her career marketing and selling top international brands for one of Jamaica’s leading conglomerates, Lascelles deMercado. She brings over 15 years of managerial and coaching experience from North America, the UK and the Caribbean.

Building brands internationally allowed her to gain the valuable insight necessary to overcome the challenges of working with diverse international suppliers and customers. She developed an affinity for business strategy and assisting executives develop their potential, which brought about an important career shift.

In 2001, she helped to establish and run the Caribbean’s first Business Incubator, The Technology Innovation Center. There, she coached start-up entrepreneurs in the areas of marketing, business relationship building, public speaking and networking. She monitored their progress and identified strategies that greatly assisted in the achievement of their goals.

In 2004, JoAnn and her family moved to Germany. While in Leverkusen and Berlin, she learned German and taught English to private students on a 1to1 basis. She found the experience to be extremely rewarding and proceeded to obtain her CELTA certification from International House after moving to Barcelona in 2008.

In 2009, she founded Business English Coaching. The unique combination of her business experience, MBA and CELTA qualification allow her to combine Business Skills enhancement with English improvement to positively impact the performance of her select clientele.
